Keep Vantra running the way it did on day one.

A few minutes of upkeep every few weeks is all it takes. Here's exactly how.

Step 1

Emptying the Dustbin

The 0.6L dustbin holds a good amount before it needs attention, but emptying it as soon as debris reaches the fill line keeps suction strong.

  1. Turn off and unplug Vantra before emptying.
  2. Press the dustbin release button (located above the base) and lift the dustbin free.
  3. Hold the dustbin over a trash bin and press the bottom-release latch to empty debris.
  4. If the base plate is dusty, wipe it with a dry cloth before reattaching.
  5. Click the dustbin back into place until it locks securely.
Tip: Empty the dustbin every 1-2 uses rather than waiting until it's completely full. Suction drops noticeably once debris packs down near the top.

Step 2

Cleaning the Self-Cleaning Brushroll

Vantra's brushroll is designed to release wrapped hair on its own during normal use, but a monthly check keeps it performing at its best - especially in multi-pet households.

  1. Turn off and unplug Vantra.
  2. Flip the nozzle over and locate the brushroll release clips on either end.
  3. Unclip and lift the brushroll straight out.
  4. Check both ends for any hair that didn't fully release - use scissors to trim through any wrapped strands, then pull them free.
  5. Wipe the brushroll with a dry cloth to clear dust buildup.
  6. Reinsert the brushroll and snap both clips back into place before use.
Tip: If suction feels weaker on carpet specifically, this is almost always the first thing to check - a partially wrapped brushroll can't make full contact with the floor.

Step 3

Filter Care

The filter sits above the dustbin and traps fine dust before it reaches the motor. A clogged filter is the most common cause of reduced suction.

  1. Remove the dustbin as described in Step 1.
  2. Twist and lift the filter housing out from the top of the dustbin assembly.
  3. Tap the filter gently over a trash bin to release loose dust.
  4. Rinse under cold running water only (no soap or detergent) until the water runs clear.
  5. Let the filter air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting - a damp filter can affect suction and odor.
Tip: Rinse the filter every 2-4 weeks with regular use. Never put it in the dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer.

Step 4

Cord Care

Vantra's 20 ft cord is built for daily plug-in-and-go use, but a little care extends its life.

  1. Unplug by gripping the plug itself, not the cord.
  2. Loosely coil the cord after each use rather than wrapping it tightly around the body.
  3. Avoid running the vacuum over the cord itself - the brushroll can fray it over time.

Step 5

Storage

Vantra's low-profile design makes it easy to tuck away without a bulky charging dock.

  1. Store upright in a closet, corner, or against a wall - no dedicated charging stand required since Vantra is corded.
  2. Keep the dustbin emptied between uses if storing for an extended period, to avoid trapped odors.
  3. Store the crevice tool, upholstery tool, and precision duster together in one spot so they're easy to find next time.

Step 6

Troubleshooting

A few quick checks before reaching out to support.

  1. Losing suction: Check the dustbin fill level and rinse the filter (Steps 1 and 3).
  2. Brushroll not spinning: Unplug, remove the brushroll, and check for hair or debris jammed at either end (Step 2).
  3. Vacuum won't power on: Confirm the outlet is working and the cord is fully plugged in at both ends.
  4. Unusual noise: Turn off immediately and check the brushroll and dustbin area for a lodged object before continuing use.
